Yo Princess! Harrods has a surprise for you…
While entertaining out-of-London-Towners this weekend, we decided on an impromptu trip over to Knightsbridge to buy absolutely nothing more than a keyring at Harrods, and basically kill a few hours in the Christmas section and gazing at the over priced puppies. We never expected in a million years however, that we would be greeted with the pop-up Disney Store located on the 4th Floor.
Luckily I was with three other girls who are all a little bit Disney mental, so our collective age plummeted to around 15 when we saw the Cinderella SHOE PARLOUR. Yes ladies (and gents) you can now purchase your very own pair of ‘glass’ slippers whether you are 3 or 33. Ranging in sizes from 0 to 8, only ten thousand of these limited edition babies have been created exclusively for Harrods.
According to my sources aka the dapper young Fairy Godfather who brought over a pair for us to try on ON A PILLOW, the shoes have been as popular with adults as they have with little princesses and one woman has even purchased a pair to wear for her wedding day! I didn’t want to inquire if they would be featuring in the next series of Big Fat Gypsy Weddings though…
The 7,000 sq foot space also holds a dressing up area for little ladies to dress up in their favourite Princess garb and we even spotted the rose from Beauty and The Beast. It’s not all for girls though. The pink does fade away dramatically in the Toy Story and Cars section of the store and there is even a chill out / activities area to plonk the kids (or adults) down in after a temper tantrum for a time out. Speaking of which, we did also visit the incredible main toy section of Harrods (Disney free) and came face to face with an excited little toddler who practically ran in to us and who’s mum, quick marching after him, just happened to be Coleen Rooney.

I would definitely wear those pink sparkly princess shoes!
Ooh me too!
