Miss Selfridge’s golden treasures

Ever since myself and Katie attended the Miss Selfridge Christmas press day way back in July (yes, it WAS weird munching on mini mince pies in the Summertime) I have been eagerly awaiting the festive delights that the high-street chain planned to drop in December.

And if you are an avid reader of Style & Then Some, you may have noticed my uncontrollable urge for all things gold and shiny.  So, like a moth to a flame, it’s no wonder it was this sequined bad boy that has captured my heart and makes me whimper as I stroll past the flagship store each morning…

Priced at £99, it does seem somewhat of a steal when compared to the Vivienne Westwood on I have been crying over.  However, it isn’t just dresses Miss Selfridge seem to be nailing this season in the gold and shiny stakes.  This foiled jumper seems to be making a comeback from last Winter (remember the Whistles version?  This is much cheaper at £42)…

Whilst these bang-on trend wedges with accents of gold courtesy of some very shiny buckling would complement your metallic look perfectly.  I guarantee The Man Repeller herself would be a fan…

So for my fellow magpies, it looks like there is some serious treasure to be found in Miss Selfridge this party season!  And if you know anywhere else going a little gaga for gold, please do me a favour and let me know!

Boots Treat Street does Fashion Fortnight – get Advantage card points for online shopping

My Boots advantage card gave up the ghost about six months ago and I haven’t had the time to send off for a replacement. Boy am I sorry this week. It’s Fashion Fortnight for Boots Treat Street until Sunday 31st July which means that Boots Advantage Card holders can get 2 Advantage Card points for every pound they spend in selected online versions of high street stores.

The list includes: French Connection, Gap, New Look, Miss Selfridge, Coast, figleaves.com (bras!!), Dorothy Perkins, Banana Republic and Marisota (for petite and plus size clothes).

Just think about it, that could really add up. Like that time you bought a hairdryer from Boots and the Advantage Card points pretty much paid for your Meal Deal. Suddenly Superdrug’s mirrored advantage card isn’t looking so shiny.
