What to wear to a winter wedding

Weddings, being pricey little occasions, have wandered out of the  busy traditional summer season bracket  and now crop up year-round.  Winter weddings can be spectacular given the possibility of leafy autumnal settings or even a dramatic sprinkling of snow.  Getting married during the festive season ensures a cheery guest list and acres of annual leave.  As an added bonus there’s not a sea of floral-inspired prom dresses dotted over a lawn as far as the eye can see.  Autumn/winter weddings provide an ideal backdrop for embellishment, metallic finishes and bolder silhouettes.  Think sophisticated capes, ladylike accessories and heritage prints.  Steer clear of pashminas, festive fascinators or matchy matchy shoe/bag/cardigan combos…
