Celebrity Fragrance Shocker – Becoming addicted to Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday

While the onslaught of celebrity perfumes hasn’t slowed down since the days of J.Lo Glow, it seems you really haven’t made it in the celebrity stratosphere until you’ve slapped your name across a bottle of scent and carried out the necessary ‘it’s always been my dream to have my own perfume!’ lie to every magazine and beauty journalist that will listen (the Kardashians are most definitely the Queens of this).

And while the majority of them won’t exactly achieve Don-like Calvin Klein One status in the perfume world, from time to time a celebrity-endorsed scent may just turn your nose. After searching around for a while for an inexpensive, every-day scent I could toss in my bag (the good stuff – my Gucci Flora Parfum – stays under lock and key for very special occasions) I came across Nicki Minaj’s Pink Friday eau de toilette. At £16.50 from The Fragrance Shop, a 30ml bottle comes with a rollerball and a body lotion (AND A FREE RING TONE!!!) and because I love it so much I even instagrammed a picture of it covered in hearts like a 12 year old would:

I would like to point out this is quite a fruity fragrance and is officially described as ‘an intoxicating floral wrapped in an outrageous bottle design’ (the lid is her head, it is amazing).  And while I obviously can’t provide a sample through the screen, if you like any of the notes listed below I would suggest getting yourself down to the nearest perfumery and having a little spritz:

Top Notes: Carambola, Mandarin Orange, Blackberry

Heart Notes: Lotus, Jasmine

Base Notes: Musk, Vanilla, Pear, Caramel
